For Veterans Sunday we all
dressed up in our most Patriotic colors.
We are feeling very patriotic this year with JDs retirement and all.
I posted this on facebook about my feelings regarding it.
Happy Veterans day 🇺🇲️ After 24 years of service, Master Sergeant JD Phippen retired from the Army this year. The way he loves this country is noble and inspiring. I am thankful for him and the many other brave men and women who love and serve this country with all their heart. I can honestly say, when I married Jd, I did not understand the WHY of military life. Why would anyone choose to leave the safety of home and a family who loves them dearly, and put themselves in harms way? I for sure did not want that man to be my husband. To serve or not to serve was never in question, it was in JD's blood and he was honored and thankful for the opportunity. Thank you Jers for helping me to understand the "WHY." I LOVE YOU❤️ and am thankful for your service and blessed to be your wife!
I love being the wife and mother of these men!
For Veterans day, JD took us all to celebrate his retirement.
HYVEE always gives a free breakfast to Veterans so
that makes deciding where to go pretty easy.
Ashlynns School asked if JD would
volunteer to come and help out at the school one day.
He agreed, I love how happy Ashlynn was about it.
She is so proud of her military dad!
We love you JD!
