COVID-19 Day 6 Happy Birthday to me!

When this year started I knew it was going to be an incredible year. I turned 45 today, JD and I are going to have our 25th wedding Anniversary in July, we are going to become grandparents any day, our son was married in February, and our third child is returning from his mission.  I had no idea how outrageous the world events would become this year.  Daxon will be returning three months early due to the Corona virus. I was thrilled when I received a seminary substitute position, but it was the same week all the schools shut down.  It will be interesting to see if we go back again this year. Virus or not, I am loving this year. I love living closer to my children. I enjoy my children being home. I am blessed that JD has also been home and my children are all older. I do not think I would be enjoying it at all if my kiddos were all still babies. When the kids start to get on my nerves, JD and I just leave and go for a walk or a drive.  When we get home all is well, it is the best having older children.

 Favorites about this day
We drove to Logan to see our older kids. That always makes me happy. Alyssa is so adorable and I can't wait for her to be a mother.
My extraordinary sister Trisha was on her way to where I live with all her kiddos. When I told her I was headed to Logan, she came to Logan and brought me the most adorable sunshine basket and yellow roses. It made my day! I mean how many people in this world have a sister that would drive almost two hours, with all their kids, to deliver them a birthday present?  I want to be just like her someday! JD made me my favorite angel food cake, I was able to talk to Daxon in Canada,  Ashlynn gave me a frame with a favorite memory, Britton wrote the sweetest card. It was a most excellent day:).

These two could play corn-hole for days and hours.
I try, sometimes, but I am really terrible.

We had to run into Walmart to get some things and JD put this costume halfway on.
I wonder how many people with COVID-19 have also put that on?

I love listening to audio books. I am excited that Audible is doing this. I am going to try and get my children hooked on book
listening while they are out of school.

The world is a bit intense
right now. I still think it is the GREATEST time in all of history to be alive and I am looking forward to what this new year brings!
