Covid-10 Day 17 Happy Birthday Britton

17 years ago, this handsome kid graced the world with his presence. The day I held him in my arms, my heart was filled with heart-stirring joy. Everyday since, Britton has made me smile. Sometimes he does make me scream. Then he smiles and does that cute giggle of his and you can't help but forgive him.
Britton has such a kind heart. He cares deeply for others. For instance, yesterday on our way home from Logan his sister was sad about something. Britton said he had to use the restroom, when we stopped to get gas. He came back to the car with his sisters favorite soda. Then the rest the way home he sat and listened to the iPad with her.

These two make me laugh so hard. They are continually teasing one another and making each other scream. The other day I about lost my mind at all the screaming they were causing each other to do. As Ashlynn was saying family prayer she commented, "thank you for Britton and the fun obstacle course he set up for me to do today." I had no idea that had taken place.

My paradigm in regards to these two and their relationship shifted immediately.
I think the teasing is actually their way of showing love to one another.
Britton is very much an extrovert. He does NOT love social distancing. He loves talking to everyone all the time.
Today for his birthday, we went on a hike. Not a 17 year old's dream for his birthday. Someone built this fairy garden in the side of a tree. I told him fairies grant wishes and he should make one and perhaps it will come true. LOL
Lots of Britton teasing Ashlynn by taking her scooter on this walk/hike.
Ashlynn found an impressive walking stick in place of the scooter:).

Britton's courage to try anything and his zest for life are inspiring. He continually amazes me with his willingness to work hard to reach his goals.  Earlier this week he said he wanted Philly cheese steaks for his birthday. JD made some today, they were AMAZING!  We rented the new Jumanji show and watched it together as a family. JD is not a video-gamer but tonight he is upstairs playing Forza with Britton because he is a good dad.  When you are 17, the limits that Corona virus puts on your life can make it feel like the end of the world. With a little perspective and a few years behind you, you'll look back and realize that spending your birthday with your momma and family made #17...
THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!
