COVID-19 Day 34 Stay Sane. . . Go Outdoors

This morning I woke up and I KNEW the day needed to be different if we were going to stay sane and find joy. This continuous groundhog day thing we all got going on could make one lose their freaking brain if they don't somehow find a way to break out of the monotony of it all.  I determined that if I got up and did a 30 minute workout it would put me in a better frame of mind.
I worked out and still felt like somewhat of a caged animal. I went and woke up JD and told him we need to get out of here and go do something fun today. The kids need it, I need it, so
 WHERE CAN WE GO?
Utah has closed most of its State parks, unless you are a resident in that county. It extremely limits the places a person can go. It took JD about five minutes to find a place, we headed up past Morgan to East Canyon State Park. It was a beautiful drive, and we all had a great time. It is clear to see that fishing has become the new in-thing to do. I have never witnessed so many people, in so many off-road areas going fishing.
We all loved getting out of the house today.
Britton almost, sorta taught Ashlynn how to skip a rock.
The day was made perfect when Jake and Alyssa came to visit with the most adorable baby EVER. We had hamburgers for dinner and Ashlynn made us strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was delicious!
We watched a digital fireside, I love these three people.
The weather today was beautiful. I am just saying if this virus plans to stick around we all need some perfect weather. Sanity is something mankind desires to have, therefore going outdoors is a necessity in times like these. It is not an option.
Tonight we forced the kids to go walk around the cemetery with us.  We told them to think of it as going to the zoo. Every yard has dogs, chickens, goats, or Llamas, and one yard even has beehives. The canal has ducks. What's not to love.  LOL
We finished the evening with the movie Little Women. Britton did not appreciate the show. Ashlynn and the rest of us loved it!
