COVID-19 Day 30 Never a dull moment

As I am typing this, Elder Phippen has only 7 days 18 hours 05 minutes and 15 seconds until he returns. Today, his mission President allowed the Farsi Elders to go and do some sightseeing. It looks like they are having a fabulous time being out of their apartment.

I love how positive Daxon sounds when I talk to him. Since the quarantine they have managed to move a ping pong table, pool table, weight bench and piano into their apartment.
If you could see the stairs they took the piano down, you would be very impressed.
Missionaries are incredible at using their imagination to make the best of any situation.
Daxon commented that the email from the President this week caught all the elders off guard and made them laugh.  The Mission President is either trying to keep everyone in good spirits, or losing it completely, Dax said. The email this week had funny jokes, a quote from the movie Madagascar, and a notice that he was giving them an extra ten dollars to have a cheeseburger night. I loved watching Daxon's face light up as he related this information to us. It really is the simple things in life that make the biggest difference. President Ensign clearly knows the way to young missionaries' hearts.

Dax also commented on how a member of his ward donated $1,000 dollars for food, to be split between the 4 companionships of missionaries, in the form of gift cards. Missionaries are not allowed to eat with members for the time being. They are home all day, so the extra food money was a treasured gift. I love the goodness in mankind.  I am so excited for Riley and Daxon to see one another. It has been almost 4 years and when Riley left they were inseparable.
Man I love this kid!!!

Ashlynn made these plates of cookies and left them on the
doorstep of some of her friends' homes today.
The text messages she received from her friends were so tender.
It made them so happy to have the connection of another,
even if it was through a simple plate of cookies.

Today I organized six drawers that all looked like this one in the beginning.
Towards the last drawer, I was becoming very irritable. Seriously, where does all that garbage come from and what the heck am I suppose to do with it??!?
It was not enjoyable
in the slightest, and I had to tell myself to keep going a billion times.
I love that it is done!

They cancelled school for the rest of the
year today, and we had a 4.2 earthquake.
Never a dull moment!
Tomorrow, I think I will spend the day finishing up my 72 hour kits!
